DJCNS follows the school closings of the Princeton Regional School District. If the Princeton Regional Schools are closed or delayed for the day, DJCNS will be closed. Inclement weather may result in the school’s closing for the day.
SPECIAL EVENTS
In addition to the regularly scheduled classes, families are encouraged to attend the following special events throughout the year:
Pizza Night
Families and teachers are invited to get to know one another and share pizza and playtime together on a Friday night in September.
Craft Fair
Usually held in the fall, the Craft Fair provides an opportunity for students and their families to join together to play games, get a face painted, make crafts, and enjoy a treat or two.
Pancake Breakfast
One Saturday morning in February, the students and their families get together to enjoy a big pancake breakfast. Just right for a cold winter morning…yum.
Music Morning
Music Morning is an opportunity in the spring for the students and their families to make instruments and then sing and play those instruments together as a group. Students are also treated to a slideshow sharing some of their favorite moments from the school year.
End-of-Year Picnic
Students and their families get together one last time celebrate the end of the year and the beginning of summer vacation. The picnic offers a good opportunity for the students to meet their new teachers and even new classmates before returning in the fall.
